Bethlehem Boulevard to be Held December 8

LeRoy Independent Baptist Church extends an invitation to everyone to take a walk down Bethlehem Boulevard.

Bethlehem Boulevard is an interactive walking tour of the town of Bethlehem as it may have been on the night that Jesus was born. Participants are encouraged to visit Bethlehem, located inside of the LeRoy Independent Baptist Church, on Saturday, December 8 between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m. There is no charge for this event.

The visitor’s experience begins with a short video presentation which is followed by a stroll through Bethlehem. Once entering the village, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Potter, Carpenter, Census Taker, Merchants, Rabbi, Shepherds and Roman Soldiers.

Trades people will be at work and the Marketplace will be offering a large selection of authentic food for participants to sample. The Synagogue, a Jewish home, and a Jail will also be found in the village.

Mary and Joseph will be there caring for their newborn baby while live animals surround them.

During the visit, participants will feel as if they have been transported back in time as they hear the sounds of a busy town including animals and period music.

Visitors will truly have the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and smells of a busy marketplace as it may have been on the night when the Savior of the world was born in manger.
